Last night, I watched my 21-year old daughter fulfill a dream of singing opera for people. She sang not one or two arias, but two 45-minute sets of classical Italian repertoire. She was poised and powerful. She held the attention of people (in a busy Italian ice cream and coffee shop) and was generous in her appreciation of their attention. She was engaged and allowed the songs to sing her as she owned them. She was inspiring and extraordinarily confident in her knowledge of the material and her technique with such difficult pieces. She was professional. She was mature. That's my baby, all grown up and living her dream!
Thank you, God!
