This Morning 7/31/12 The Race

While the 2012 London Olympics are in full swing and 40 million people are busying themselves daily watching Michael Phelps and Missy Franklin make history, I am in my own race.  It seems not even one person, besides myself, is aware of it, let alone a million!

The race to finish assignments and study for Statistics and Probability is keeping me completely overwhelmed as I prepare to leave in eight days for Sundance.  It's a relatively small race compared to the ones gaining the attention of television and internet audiences worldwide.   But it is my race, without distraction.

No distractions exist in the race of life.  Well, that isn't exactly true.  People do drink and drug and immerse themselves in seemingly useless activities to create distractions from life.  No distractions ought exist in the race of life though.  What denotes a distraction in the race, as opposed to a pit stop - a place to recharge?
